Photo Section: Due to production errors in preparing the photo section, three photo captions contain errors. General Baker, a leader of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers, and Nelson Peery, founder of the Communist League, are mis-identified as later being leaders of the Communist Workers Party. The captions under their photographs should read Communist Labor Party. Also, the photograph of the El-Comite MINP contingent was taken by George Cohen, not George Chen. Page 30: In the discussion of the Chicano Moratorium, it should have been noted that the date of the Moratorium was August 29, 1970. Also, it was not just county sheriffs but also dozens of police from the Los Angeles Police Department who attacked the demonstration, and the three people killed - Angel Diaz, Lyn Ward, and Ruben Salazar were not killed in the attack on the demonstration itself, but afterward at different locations. Page 34: The Canadian government imposed its emergency War Measures Act in Quebec in October 1970, not October 1971. Page 102: Revolution in the Air erroneously says the film "Wildcat at Mead" was produced by Newsreel. The film was produced by members of the October League. Page 106: Revolution in the Air erroneously states that Clay Newlin, leading figure in the Philadelphia Workers Organizing Committee (PWOC) had briefly been a member of the CPUSA, Newlin was never affiliated with the Communist Party. |
